Penne with Turkey and Peas
This quick Sunday pasta is colorful, tasty and super-healthy - a great dish for kids. You could add some paprika and morph it into a simple goulash.

Penne with Turkey and Peas
Serves 6-8
1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 t garlic powder
1/2 t dried basil
1/2 t dried oregano
salt & pepper, to taste
1 box penne
1 box peas in butter sauce, cooked
1 jar 3 cheese pasta sauce
Start water for pasta. Brown onion and turkey in skillet over medium-high heat. Add spices to taste and then add pasta sauce. Reduce heat and simmer. Add pasta to boiling water and cook according to box directions. Drain pasta and toss with peas. Add extra butter if needed to coat. Fold in pasta-meat sauce. Serve with salad and garlic bread.
