Dear Jennifer,

First of all, thanks for writing. It’s always great to hear from my “older”

kids. Ho Ho Ho!

I’m very glad to hear you’ve met that special someone and that things are

going well. Here at the North Pole, there are always elves getting

together, and it’s a special time when they decide to make a long term

commitment to each other. Marrying a couple of elves is one of my favorite

things to do. It’s not a duty many people know about, but it does happen.

Now, I’ll do what I can on the job lead, but I’m a little out of touch with

the placement office in Illinois. But I’m sure something will work out for both

of you. Hang in there, and remember that something that special is always

worth the energy it needs.

You didn’t really give me any suggestions for presents, but I know you trust

me to do the best I can on Christmas.
