How to get your (bloggy) groove back

Finally! Last night I hauled myself the 0.3 miles away to the Apple store and purchased a new MacBook. The fellow at the counter asked “Are you sure you don’t need to talk to an Apple Specialist?” I retort: “Yes, I am quite sure. I am replacing the MacBook my cat decided was thirsty.” He seemed disappointed that he would not be able to sell me more than I needed. I flashed him my student ID (I graduated in 2004) to get the $100 discount and proceeded on my merry little way. As a reward for finally sucking it up (or perhaps to dull the pain of spending $1000), I got myself a banana cream pie blizzard on the way through the food court. Given that I’ve yet to take the new machine out of the box, I’m not sure which part of my shopping trip was more enjoyable. DQ gets kudos for using real banana!

I always thought that the Apple techs were honest merchants, working only to Optimize Your Apple Experience. At least, thats what they always tell us Windows folks…
