Farmhouse Table + Country Dinnerware

Jen over at the Cottage Nest blogged today about her inspiration dining room. Not only would I love to have a dining room that looks like this, but I would love to have a dining room!

She reminded me that I have a farmhouse-style dining room table. (I currently have a round white cottage-style table for my small kitchen, much like this one.) Unfortunately it lives at my parents’ house, but they were kind enough to photograph it for me. This was a real gem. We found it at a garage sale for $15. Its a solid oak top that we stained. The legs were originally white.

Coincidentally, I was eyeing both the French Countryside and Italian Countryside dishes by Mikasa this afternoon.

I also just love Cafeware, either from Crate & Barrel or the Tienshan original.

I prefer a table that can hold about 6 kids and my husband and me. We are in the process of adopting and look forward to bringing children of different ages into our home.
